Washington Saves America
I think that George Washington should be considered a hero because he was the one who boosted up the spirits and hopes of winning the war. He did this by winning two major battles against the British for the Patriots. His strategies and tactics were very impressive. He captured 900 Hessians with just 5 American casualties in the Battle of Trenton. That was some good and effective strategy Washington used to defeat the British. Then, in the Battle of Princeton, he purposely left the campfire on so that the British could see; then Washington and his army surrounded the British army stealthily and attacked the next morning, surprisingly. The Patriots won a convincing victory. After these two battles, Americans won the rest easily as they had high spirits, confidence and hope of winning the battles. All this wouldn’t have happened if George Washington wouldn’t have won those 2 impressive battles. Thanks to him, America is now free!
