Don’t Kill Us

October 28, 2007 at 8:20 am (Uncategorized)

I believe that we, the colonists, should pay for the war because the British had come from Britain to defend us. This way we are being fair and equal. When I say this, I’m not saying that the means of getting the money is right. They should not keep taxes on everything but only one or two things. We, basically, then won’t have enough money to feed ourselves. Also, they shouldn’t kill us just because we are saying that it is not fair. The ‘Boston Massacre’ was very cruel and unfair for the colonists because they are just trying to say that we can’t afford it and please change the laws. Even at the court, the soldiers didn’t get punished for the killings they did. I think that the British just want us to suffer. We are just getting killed for no reason and the government is doing nothing. I say that the British’s mean of getting money is not quite right.

Heloo there shahroz I found your response very interesting and a positive thing you did in your response was that you not only mentioned your point of view but also the britan’s point view so that there wasn’t any propaganda and I liked that. Overall nice response!

Hey, good to see that you’ve started on your blog. Don’t be afraid to update your header – maybe choose a pic off the net that connects to our course material = the American revolution.

You also have a JohnnyT post to do – see yiseights

    Sincerely,

    Mr. D,

Don’t forget that there’s a quiz on Saturday, Nov. 3rd!
